Jeep Compass - Launched competitively in India: 2017-Aug

I hope FCA [Fiat Chrysler Automotives] does nice job with launching Jeep compass with both following power trains in India:
2.0 litre Petrol Engine
1.6 litre Diesel Engine
2.0 litre Diesel Engine

In my view 1.6 litre Diesel Engine is launched at Rs 17-18.0 lakh FWD ex-showroom & at Rs 18-19 lakh AWD. This is surely going to provide good boost to Fiat and for sure you can see people queuing at Fiat dealership.

Initial rumours were expecting it to be priced close to 16L ex-showroom for the starting variant.
But with the current speculation game, prices will start no less than 25L.

I expect Jeep Compass on road price in India for top model to be around Rs 36 lakhs in Mumbai West.
International it's priced closed but lower to the VW Tiguan. In india the Tiguan sells for 38.6 lakhs on road Mumbai West.

If Top end is prices at Rs 36 lakhs for Jeep Compass, Fiat is bound to dig its own grave.
No doubt the product may be worth it but due to poor service network - nobody is willing to take the risk. If they want customers to walk to Jeep they have to place it very competitively.

Toyota is commanding higher price on Innova & Fortuner after providing reliable product and service. Jeep can never imagine to follow Toyota.

For FIAT in Hyderabad new dealer - AV motors has closed his operations. Then next is Butta Automotive, I heard they are also planning to wind up.
The requirement of Jeep Dealership I am told is quite big, with high real estate prices in India and low volumes, they are not proving to be worthy business proposition.
