Kashmir: Chasing a Snow Storm 9 to 20 Feb 2018

    Crazy ??? yes.
    This is a road trip to chase an approaching Snow Storm,
    that is due to arrive on 11 Feb 2018 over Kashmir Valley, a Sunday, and become bigger on 12 Feb Mon.
    In fact it will affect all of Himalayas.

    So dep is Friday 9 Feb 2018.

    Total 4 guys.
    Self on the steering wheel, BCMT, and THC
    Kiki Mathawan, Admin of The Himalayan Travel Group
    Raj of BCMT
    Oscar Hussain of THC.

    Curtsey Kiki, on invitation, we staying at his home in Srinagar.

    Check of all stuff.

    draw cash from bank
    next morning Friday, 9 Feb 2018, dep 5 am Dwarka.

    3 man tent
    Kerosene Heater
    Multi Fuel Camp Stove
    Camping Utensils
    Led Torch with 800 m throw, and on Low, can be on for 4 day continuous
    30,000 mAh Power Bank
    12 V Air Compressor
    Snow Chains for all 4 tyres
    Sleeping Bag.
    Sugar, tea bags, powder milk, for emergency if stuck anywhere

    Canon 17-40
    Canon 24-105L
    Canon 100-400L
    Rokinon 14mm f/2.8
    Sigma 24mm f/1.4
    GoPro hero 3 Black on 2 axis gymbal
    Edelkrone 2 Axis Slider
    Miops Camera high speed trigger.

    So this if what we are chasing.

    Now this may not be the best way to start.

    Just saw BBC weather for Delhi.
    looks like Fog will start around 11.30 tonight. oops.

    Fingers crossed.

    We arrive with the storm

    So hoping once storm passes over
    The vis will be perfect for at least 2 days
