Hi,

In my opinion, the best season to go there is August first or second week. Kashmir has hardly any monsoon so Oct may be too dry season for this trek. I remember that there are certain permits or relevant requirements for this trek. Typically if you hire a good reputed guide, he takes care of it for the entire group.
