Hi Prajakt,

Not sure how many times i have visited your logs..... Making me more crazy every time I visit......

We have teamed up for 2nd week of Aug'15 to do this...... Planning to go with Renok adventures. Still in confusion to finalize the guide.....

Hey Dinesh,

Thanks for the feedback. If you listen to me, just go for it. Please avoid overlapping camping dates with Indiahikes and TrekTheHimalayas batches or else it would be pure mess. Do let me know if you need any help or pointers.

Although this not the approriate section, but i understand anyone looking for a trek in August in Kashmir valley would browse thru this amazing detailed log of Prajakt.

I have pm'ed Dinesh.s as well Hiambuj (since ur brother manu is going) to foresee any possiblity of joining a trek in kashmir in mid august.

To summarize I am looking forward to join any trekker's group (not commercial ones) in mid august, anyone here?

I remember speaking to you.... I have finalized my plans along with my 4 other friends. We are starting it on 8th Aug'15 and end on 14th Aug'15... We are going with Riyaz.

I really haven't spoken much on breakup, he has included all details in his blog trekkashmir.com

I have even booked Amarnath thru chopper, Initially booked for 15th Aug, keeping in view the security. I have changed to 16th Aug.

Also heard there are cloud burst last week, will it be safe to continue the trek....

Hi,

I completed my trek on 14th Aug'15, It was amazing and memorable..... Nature at its best...... Special thanks for Prajakt for this inspirational thread, which ignited the passion for trek.....

Coming to temperature @ Srinagar its about 30 and on the trek route it was about 25+ during day. early morning and nights were cold, probably around 8-10.

Wow.. just saw your log while searching for TLogs related to Kashmir and I must say all the pictures are amazing. I am definitely trying this Trek as soon as I get chance. Which time is suitable for this trek??
