Late afternoon Travel to Rudraprayag
Night stay at Rudraprayag

Day 5 (Wednesday)
Rudraprayag to Haridwar reach by afternoon
Catch bus to Delhi asap

I feel this schedule is pretty tight. Need to know if this is doable.
please suggest if i can get a shared jeep from Haridwar to Guptkashi, or at what time I can get a direct bus - Haridwar to Gaurikund.

Can i get a share jeep/bus from Gaurikund to Chopta? How frequently buses/share cabs are available.

From Chopta to Rudra Prayag can I get a bus/share cab easily?

These are really amazing trekking destinations in India where you would love to visit. These are the most popular destinations because of its religious importance

Ek Rasta hai Zindagi..
The Plan is a little hurried but definitely doable. I have done Kedarnath trek and back to Gaurikund in 1 day in the past.

Direct buses from Haridwar/Rishikesh are available. However you can break your journey in 2 if you want to hire a shared cab. Rishikesh to Rudraprayag and then Rudraprayag to Gaurikund.

Direct Shared taxi from Gaurikund to Chopta will be very few. Once again you'll have break your journey at Kund and then find a shared taxi for Chopta.

For your return Journey also, in case you are lucky you might find a direct jeep. If you don't, break your journey to reach Kund (which is on the kedarnath - Rudraprayag road) and then find transportation to Rudraprayag/haridwar.

Yes this is doable.. have a grt time... i am also planing a solo trip in aug for Velly of Flowers, hamkund sahib and other places near Badrinath like mana.....

Doable. You have to stay at Son Prayag. Next day Govt jeeps will take you to Gaurikund. Start Trek.
Stay at night at Kedarnath Valley if you feel good to do so.
This will be easy on your body.
Return next day for Chopta. Finding Shared vehicle for Chopta may be some time consuming. Reaching there will not be tension.

Thanks Satinder ji,
What about the registration thing?
Is the trek similar to Tungnath (in grading) or tougher?
I plan with my 13year old son from 24-27May from Haridwar. Can a car (Ertiga) reach Sonprayag?
My tentative plan:
24th - Reach Sonprayag (what accommodation, advance booking?)
25th - Sonprayag to Kedarnath (stay)
26th - Kedarnath sightseeing and back to Lincholi
27th - Lincholi to Haridwar
Is it doable? Thanks.

Try to do Biometric Registration at Haridwar or other places in between.
You can see rush at Son Prayag Registration Point and may get late for trek.

Ertiga can reach Son Prayag easily but drive carefully by checking stones in middle of road.

Kedarnath Trek is difficult than Tungnath !

Return next day to Son Prayag after Kedarnarh night stay.
Donot stay at Lincholi.
Going down is easy !
Before 5pm only you can get Govt jeeps for Son Prayag. Take torch for trekking if you get late it will help.

Or
Goto Rudraprayag by any public transport.
Take Shared Cab / Taxi for Son Prayag.

Do Bio Metric on this day at any place early morning / afternoon / evening.

Start early morning for going down to reach your detination in time.

Day 5 Ukhimath to Chopta - 67KM, Appx. 2 Hrs. by Car - Night Stay at Chopta

Kindly suggest this plan is doable we are only 2 person.

Doable and add few or more couple of places nearby.

1. Kindly provide the information about the share taxi and bus service from the Rishikesh - Gourikund - Chopta - Rishikesh?

Bus is available and check routes timings from bus stand.
Shared Taxi is easily available at Rishikesh for Rudraprayag.
For Son Prayag also available in morning only.
Ask Driver about commfortable seating as they tend to fill /push people like Sheep & Goats in Bolero / Sumo etc..

2. May 1st Week is best time to travel this place?

It all depends on opening of the Gates.
Gates are opened normally in last week of April or first week of May
on Akshay Tritiya.
Check Calendar.
Early Birds may not see rush during vacations.

Kedarnath in Winters
During Winters starting from the month of of November, there is heavy snowfall in Kedarnath and all the routes are closed. The shrine is also closed for 6 months. The holy statue of Lord Shiva, is shifted from Garhwal (Kedarkhand) to Ukhimath, and is reinstated at Kedarnath, in the first week of May. It is at this time, that the doors of the temple are thrown open to pilgrims, who gather from all parts of India, for a holy pilgrimage. The shrine closes on the week of Kartik, on the day of Bhai Dooj (October-November) and reopens after Akshay Tritya (April-May) every year. During its closure the shrine is submerged in snow and worship is performed at Ukhimath.
