Krish home stay, Chamba
We stayed here for one night on October 4, 2019 while coming from Bairagarh. It’s located in the outskirts of Chamba before entering the town, at Sarol. The home stay is on the first floor. An iron stair leads to it. There is a restaurant also, below that stair on the ground floor. We paid Rs.700 which could not be negotiated further. However, the rate was okay. Contact : 9418630000, 9817040001. There is a guy named Umesh who does all the cores mainly – he is very polite and helpful.
Pros
1. There is a blind pathway beside it where car can be parked safely.
2. The restaurant serves decent food.
3. Brushing the teeth and shaving are to be done with sunrays kissing from the backside of a hill.
4. The geyser works.
5. It is located on the first floor, and there is a utility / grocer’s store in the ground floor by the same owner. Dry food, bottled water, photocopying – all are available under the same roof.
Cons
1. The room and toilet floor were dusty. Perhaps not many guests stay there and so it is not cleaned regularly.
2. There is no wash basin and mirror in the toilet. Four basins with mirrors are available in the outside corridor, which are to be shared among all guests. We were the only guests there, otherwise it would have been awkward.
Conclusion
It’s a decent option located outside the main town of Chamba, and can be explored for a night stay.
