This was the maiden trip of Alpha, Papa and Romeo together. The night before we decided to do this long drive. I clearly remember it was election day in Delhi in May 2009. We casted our votes early and left towards Nainital. I am saying towards Nainital because we had no destination in our minds. All we wanted is to drive and drive long for 4 days. Our sole purpose was to drive hence not much of photgraphs were taken, also we had not come across BCMT by then otherwise it would have compelled me to take lots of shots. The pics taken are not of great quality as they are taken from my handycam. So fellows please bear with the low quality pics: Day 1 Alpha - in mustachios Romeo - aka Rahul Papa, joker of the pack/ local by birth our first halt at Garh mukteshawr for lunch pee break before Nainital & a bit of exploration also by the milestone.. Papa likes to whistle Romeo near Khurptal dinner at Embassy, there was a long waiting at Machan..food was good at Embassy Day 2 just a complementary pic of a boat in Naini lake in the public car parking while going towards Ranikhet, we saw a small irrigation/water project and went for exploration zaayeza liya jaa raha hai.. Papa lost his watch gifted by his Papa. We returned back few kilo meters where we had stopped in search of this watch. I calculated the exact place where i had stopped my car, and boy it was right there in front of us. Papa was happy to see his watch back with tears in his eyes.. another water play at a stream at a place called garampani..however the water was cold.. meadows at Ranikhet.. Papa had a fall.. change of hats on way to Almora.. Ranikhet did not excite us enough and we decided to move ahead to Almora at the crossroads..where to go? Almora or towards Binsar?..Binsar it is.. thats where we will halt for night..we found one Dolma restaurant, reasonable priced, Tibetean owner, food was okaish. We had earlier went all the way to the entry point of Binsal Sanctuary, but the guards told us that there is only one KMVN guest house at the top and one resort as staying option. That too would be occupied, so we decided to retreat back in search of accommodation. We came across one hotel which was not letting us stay there and we were snubbed primarily because it was some kind of Israeli den.
