Here are a few GPS Tracks I had recorded on my Winter Trip to Ladakh and although I had uploaded them in the travelogue itself, I guess a dedicated might help more people, hence posting them below.

All the GPS Tracks were recorded using MYTracks Android App on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and some of them do not start exactly from the town itself, but a few hundred meters outside, due to delay in satellite lock.

Likir Monastery - Leh, using the Srinagar - Leh Highway: View attachment 230998

Karu - Tangste: View attachment 230999

Tangste - Chushul alternate route, only logged till a little ahead of Harong Wet Lands: View attachment 231000

Tangste - Pangong Tso - Spangmik - Man - Merak: View attachment 231001

Merak - Chushul - Dungti: View attachment 231002

Dungti - Rohngo - Loma Bridge - Hanle: View attachment 231003

Hanle - Loma - Mood: View attachment 231004

Mood - Nyoma - Mahe Bridge - Tso Moriri (road to Chumur): View attachment 231005

Tso Moriri - Mahe Bridge - Chumathang: View attachment 231006

Chumathang - Upshi - Leh: View attachment 231007

In case anyone needs them GPX format, let me know and I will upload them.

Hi Yogesh,

Could you please post the PGX format of all the Ladakh GPS Tracks..... :)

Cheers,
Pavan

Just use an osm based app, all of ladakh is mapped. Every route, including the tracks
Thanks a lot. I was again reading your travelogue and you have mentioned that zanskar sees heavy rain in August. I am planning to go there in August first week, is it bad time to go there. I would be driving my innova. Also how to make that tarp which you have mentioned in your blog. Nonetheless to say your writings are amazing and photos are awesome. Thanks

As for Tarp
Go driving out at night. When you spot tarp, stop car, keep engine running, pull tarp and run for your life.

OK I guess you got it wrong but humor is good. What I meant is which material can be used, have never heard about it and I guess a plastic sheet won't help.

Any big plastic sheet will do. You just want to stop air from hitting the radiator.
