I'm not sure if this a common phenomenon, but coincidentally I was carrying a red pen and I was asked to fill the form again with a blue pen.
Also, father's name is not really required on the form, but then no harm writing it.
Lastly, if you plan to visit Turtuk in Nubra valley, you need to mention that in your form specifically.
Chushul is straightforwardly denied at the moment
EDIT: I believe red cross fee is raised to 20 rs. per person.
We had applied for a 10 day permit but the cashier at DC office charged us for only 7 days for some reason. It wasn't a mistake because he specifically mentioned that he's charging for 7 days. Maybe they factor in local sightseeing and acclimatization and act accordingly. Dunno, you may wanna ask.

Typical government affair (with respect to the pen), as far as I know.
Has anyone here experience of getting the ILP from agents by Fax/Scan ? If it was straightforward and can share some of the trusted agents contact apart from the list shared by Mod ? We plan to take Manali - Leh route for all the fun factor compared to doing from Srinagar side.
