boss, in your place, I'd be worried about the bullets. They are unreliable whether new or old :D

Unicorn is the only bike that no one ever stops raving about. Seriously kickass hai bhai.

HMSI, will you stop pussyfooting in India, and launch atleast a Uni 200? arghhhhhhhhhhh

The Lone Rider
Dunno about unicorn or bullet .. I astride a pulsar.
thanks for every1s response ...i will be starting From here( bhopal ) on the 27th of apr. If not leh what places in himachal can i visit .. ive heard abt narkanda and a frw more places ..

Yogesh Sarkar

Hopefully Srinagar route will be open by that time, if not then head to Spiti valley. You will pass through Shimla and Narkanda en route and after you are through with Spiti, you can head to Uttaranchal for more hill riding :)

The Lone Rider
hey spiti sounds good ....ive heard a lot about this place .
now what i am thinking is, from delhi i would go to rishikesh stay there for a day or two and after that proceed for spity valley ...the distance would be around 780 kms.

Yogesh Sarkar

Yes, you can always head to Chakrata from Haridwar and then from there to Himachal. Of course you will not be able to go to Kunzum La or Chandratal, but rest of Spiti should be open.

The Lone Rider
man planning a trip can be so hectic .... i ws not able to find any thread abt spiti in the forum ..though the spititourism site did provided some info ..any threads regarding spiti valley ?

hi can anybody help me for a tour of 10 days to leh through manali on bike. i want to have route details. Please send a suitable route for 10 days. we are planning to travel 300- 400 kms every day.

Yogesh Sarkar

Abhijit welcome to BCMTouring, with regards to itinerary you can do the following (assuming you are starting from Delhi):

Day 1: Jalandhar - Delhi
Day 2: Manali - Sarchu
Day 3: Sarchu - Leh
Day 4: Leh (get the permits and get the bike serviced)
Day 5: Leh - Khardung La - Nubra Valley
Day 6: Nubra Valley - Leh
Day 7: Leh - Tso Moriri
Day 8: Tso Moriri - Tso Kar - Pang/Sarchu
Day 9: Pang/Sarchu - Keylong
Day 10: Keylong - Manali
Day 11: Manali - Delhi

In case you can't add another day, you can do this:

Alternatively you can do

Day 8: Tso Moriri - Tso Kar - Sarchu
Day 9: Sarchu - Manali
Day 10: Manali - Delhi

On the first and last day you will be riding for over 550kms (assuming you are starting from Delhi). For details regarding the route, please go through the guide and you will get all the info you need.

As for the info you requested via PM, well there is no need to carry 3-4 tubes, 2 (1 front and 1 for rear) would be more than enough and there is no need to carry spare petrol for the 180s. On second thought, just carry a pepsi bottle filled with petrol for the Leh - Tso Moriri - Manali stretch.
