Hello to all. What's about that you can not go to leh and Kardung la with a bike rented in Delhi (out of Leh)? I think it's a joke but with Indian rules sometimes you never know. Thank you. It would be a shame as I plan this trip from Italy for months ago. However greatest respect even if I do not understand.

This is a real joke faced by us too in name of vested business interests.
This or that rule is at most places which are popular destinations.

However you can rent bike in Leh.
It is avaliable in Manali also to move to Leh.
You have to ask Manali bike rental shop about this in detail.

thank you. my sadness is that I am informing for months to prepare for this trip to India after 37 years. only now I am aware of this restriction and imagining the loss of time for rental in leh with another deposit, photocopying and more other, likely I will have to give up visiting nubra valley, then also my intention to contribute towards economically to hoteliers, guest house and restaurants will be lost for the same reason of one rentaler.
but at least, can i travel in leh and stay in leh with a bike rented from delhi??????? that's what i need to know!
greetings to all and full gas Always.
