On 14th, finish sightseeing at Chitkul and then head to Kalpa for the night, unless you want to rest on this day.

Next day you can easily do Kalpa to Tabo, unless you really wish to spend a night at Nako.

Not sure if you noticed, on 14/May, we plan to start early from Sangla to Chitkul and back, and then head towards Nako for the night. Do you think this will be too stretched for a days drive?

Also, do you see a probability of Kaza-Manali route opening in 3rd week of May? I can push my plan by a week if I get to travel back via Manali. Otherwise, I am really hoping that we get to see good amount of snow somewhere around Kunzum pass, even if we are not able to approach the pass itself.

Missed that bit. Thought of the second line as second day.

Snow has been less this year, so there is a chance the road might reopen. However, it is best to not count on it while planning your trip. Also initially the road condition would be extremely bad.

Thanks Yogesh.

Here's what my itinerary looks like.

5/17/2018 Delhi- Narkanda
5/18/2018 Narkanda - Chitkul. Stay at Chitkul for the night
5/19/2018 Chitkul-Nako. Stay the night at Nako/Tabo
5/20/2018 Nako/Tabo - Kaza. Visit pin valley en route
5/21/2018 Kaza and around. Stay the night at Kaza
5/22/2018 Kaza-Rampur. Night stay at Rampur
5/23/2018 Rampur-Delhi

In case Kaza-Manali opens during that time, I plan to do Kaza-Manali on 22/May and Manali-Delhi on 23rd. Some questions if you could answer

1. For 19th can you you suggest which out of Nako and Tabo is a better place to stay?
2. What all should we cover around Kaza on 21st?
3. Where all should I prebook hotels? I believe it should be Kaza and Chitkul only.

Thanks
Vicky

1. Tabo would be a better bet.

2. Key Monastery, Kibber, Gette and Pin Valley in case you didn't cover it en route to Kaza.

3. There really is no need, except at Narkanda and Chitkul.
