School kids walk thorough a beautiful pine jungle near Sunola Village, Almora, Uttarakhand, India

The road that does down from Almora towards Kosi Village is flanked by a deep valley of the Kosi river on one side. On the other side are gently sloped hills covered with Pine trees. Early morning and late afternoon the rays of the sun slant though the thin canopy and create patterns of light and shadow making the scene extremely picturesque.

This picture was taken on a short day bike ride from Nainital to Someshwar Valley, I encounters these kids walking to school amidst a beautiful pine forest. While it was summer, the morning was a little chilly and I was taking a break enjoying the warm sun on my back. The kids, oblivious to my presence, were happily chatting and subconsciously enjoying the beautiful morning on their way to school.
