The Mori-Tuini road is right up there with the best winding roads with the most scenic surroundings that one can ride anywhere in this country-n i did it just to see why @Alpha keeps going there again n again -so big thanks to @Alpha Alok for his Yamuna travelogues on this forum.

Waves

Waves hitting the rocks at Kanyakumari sea shore. The Thiruvalluvar statue and Vivekanand Rock Memorial is visible in the back.

Kanyakumari is a quite little town especially when tourists are not there. Unfortunately that is not godo for many of the locals who depend on the tourists for their livelihood.

Around a month back, I wanted to do a somewhat overnight bike ride. Thought of riding to Kanyakumari in a day and returning the next. Around 1400Km would have been a stretch for two days, but for some reason wanted to push the limit.

This picture was taken in the evening around sunset. In Kanyakumari, the Thiruvalluvar statue and Vivekanand Rock Memorial loom larger than life over everything as one looks east. It is an attempt to capture the motion of the waves hitting the rocks with the icons of Kanyakumari in the frame.

Morning Shadows
-------------------------
Shadows on the Nanda Devi peaks as he sun rises and casts uneven shadows on the nooks and corners of the peaks.

The twin peaks of Nanda Devi tower over everything else in the central Kumaon region. From Bageshwar to Pithoraghar, looking North means casting your eyes on the twin peaks. Everything else is dwarfed in front of these massive peaks.

This picture is from one of my earlier bike rides in 2014. I halted for the night at KMVN and woke up early in the morning for this view.
