List Of Food Joints in Shimla

Found this list for Shimla

1. Goofa on the ridge - It’s ideal for a lunch.
2. Megha Tibetan Food dhaba - Tibetan
3. Fung Ta and Auntie’s Chinese dhaba – Chinese
4. Baljee’s - Baljee’s is highly recommended for having a satisfying breakfast. Located opp Town Hall on Mall Road, the gulab jamuns, omelets and dosas are famous here.
5. Below Baljee’s(Auntie's) - Chinese shops serving momos.
6. Tripti Bakery, Lakkar Bazaar - 7 star pastries at middle class prices.
7. SitaRam on Lakkar Bazaar - Choley Bhatura.
8. Mehru Halwai in Lower Bazaar - desi ghee purees, Doodh Jalebi, Jalebi, Tikki and lassie.
9. Beekays or Krishna Bakers - Stick Jaws, they are not available in most cities in India.

1. Trishool Bakery on the Mall is the best bet for confectionary.
2. Wanna Order Cakes............ Hotel Combermere. Again Awesome Confectionary.
3. Best Indian FOod: New Plaza restaurant, Take te flight of stairs going down opposite Trishool Bakery on Mall.
4. Best tikkas and Cjicken Stuff at Very affordable price: Daawat Restaurant At New Shimla.
5. Best Jalebi in Town..... Krishna Halwai, at BaleuGanj. On way To Inst. of Advance Studies.
6. Best Tikkis: summer time a guy sits with a small stall next to Sanjauli Gurdwara, the best i have ever had.
7. BEst Doodh Jalebi........ Nathu Halwai, Lower Bazaar, near District Courts.( Below Mall ROad)
8. BeeKAYS as mentioned earlier....Sells the best Pizzas and N.Veg Burgers... a must eat.
9. I dont recommend Baljees,,,food is average and often you find fried cockroaches... I have ad three in a span of six months last year. Dont go there anymore, But if you do Definitely Try out the Cheese Burger and Coffee. Everything else sucks.
10. Wanna eat Awesome Sweets, Ashiana Restaurant/Sweets Shop at Chotta SHimla.

I dont know if you have tried the list yourself or internet, but Tripti Sucks bigtime for confectionry.....ewwwwwwwwwwwwww! try Trishool or Krishna Bakery.
However at one point in time Tripti was the best outlet for South Indian Dosas and Idlis.

Well in that case, Drop out Tripti... Aint worth anything no more.

1. Confectionary..... Trishool...The Mall...Dont forget to try "Spoonies."
2. Burgers: Beekays:...scandal point the Mall. ( All time Fav... Chicken burger, Sausages burger and salami burgers. )
3. Cholle Bhatura...Sita Ram..... Lakkar Bazaar Shimla.( Available on till about 2 in the aftrenoon...all sold out by then everyday.
4. Indian Food: New Plaza restaurant.( Best Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer)
5. Doodh jalebi at nathu Halwai..
6. Coffe at Ashiana.... The Ridge... Love the ambience.
7. Also if they erving Trout at Ashinana , its worth it.

There was a time Trishul's chocolate walnut pastries used to be divine!
They Still are anup sir,
He got another one on similar lines.... Calle Japanese... They are awesome chocolate pasteries with tinge of walnut and a crispy baked biscuit at the bottom.
And awesome awesome Chocolate Pastries....
Damn i feel like running to his shop and getting myself some right now.

there are some good joints on the bypass road in New Shimla...forgot the name but good chat n all.

n there is an awesome chai shop if u go down the chart shop stairs(in front of trishul bakery n turn right ... he serves just chai and sutta....

I am going to shimla soon, please provide more options espl for vegitarian indian food, is the sita ram on lakkar bazaar the same guy who used to sell tikkis?

that is true but the location has changed to the other side of the road long back, this was to improve visibility of the valley.....
