This would not have been possible without the able guidance of plenty of BCMTiians,& the guru YS.
My sincere gratitude to YS for creating such a wonderful informative BCMT.
An ordinary person like me can dream, accumulate enough courage to drive for the first time in life to the hilly mountain road.
BACKGROUND- Driving has been a passion for me. When I first got to know about BCMT while searching xyz on internet, immediately I became a member and do not know how many times I have logged into BCMT to study the various epic road journies. Learned driving Bajaj M-50 in 1985 in a congested city the then Calcutta.
PLAN- Since September is the perfect time to visit to avoid running nullahs on the road, therefore booked my train ticket to Jammu on 1st September as I'd planned to take my bike as luggage.
Teaser- At a petrol Pump 1 km out side of Jammu Railway Station.

The initial plan was to travel from 1st Sept to 17th Sep and the leave was sanctioned . On 30th August the bike was handed over to the percel deparment of IR at Howrah Station.
I got the help of one of my friend whose relative is working with IR at Howrah station who in-turn introduced me to person who does all kind of luggage booking.
Contact- PREMA da at Howrah Station for booking of bike
    Contact no-9836689424.
