can you recommend any place for July 3rd to 5th as I will be driving from Ahmadabad to Mt. Abu then to Udaipur..? thanks

It a little old now and I am not sure if its renovated recently.

I suggest you try out a new hotel called Abu Grand. It just came up last year. You'll find a room in your budget or little less, if its weekend. Google for its contact info.

During my recent trip to Mt. Abu, I had stayed at Hotel Maharaja located near Polo Ground. Its a popular hotel in Mt. Abu.

Rooms were cozy and clean and so were the bathrooms. Room Service is quick and polite. They offer almost any veg. dishes - Gujarati, Rajasthani, Punjabi, Chinese, Fast food etc in room as they have 4 restaurants too. Plus they don't charge extra for room service. BTW food was delicious.

They charged INR 900/Day but their tarrif card says Rs 1590/Day. Anyways avoid Mt. Abu on weekends as lots of chaotic tourists would spoil your holiday.
