I have my doubts if any HRTC bus ply frm manali to Manikaran.
Usually U'll have kasol Manikaran buses frm bhuntar bus stand.
It's a local route,hence probably not listed on site of HRTC.

Need not worry at all.u go to manali,enjoy ur stay,take a bus to kulu or bhuntar( preferably),
U get buses every half an hour to kulu.
Incase u don't get bus to bhuntar u take a bus to kulu frm kulu bus stand u get buses to bhuntar every 10 minutes.
Bhuntar is 9 kms towards mandi on nh 21.
At bhuntar u get buses to kasol/ manikaran, Evry hour.just don't travel late than 4 pm frm bhuntar.
It's 1 1/2 hr journey to kasol.
Plentiful buses both private or HRTC.
Save my number,if any trouble,,call me.
P.S,,,just stay away frm ganja/ weed/hash,offering bloaks.
Just a brotherly advice

Thanks a ton for your brotherly advice, not into drinks/hash (coming from a dry state if that counts:)). Going Manali/Kasol to spend some time away from routine work life. Chosen Manali-Kasol due to net connectivity so that work online for few days.

Please also advise regarding any more safety tips for Kasol-Old Manali (doing solo female trip). Any safety tips while choosing cheap budget accommodation in Kasol-Old Manali (low on budget as considering longer stay)

I am sorry ma'am, as far as choosing accommodation is concerned, I have no clue,since the need didnot arise as I belong to kulu never stayed around these places.may be fellow bcmtian's can suggest on that front.
But basically I think u should rent a place which is not too aloof and secluded.
May be there r home stays aswell.if at all they r present,just ask whether they r registered ones,try to Buk them only.
Wish u a happy and safe journey.

Thanks for the suggestion.

May be you are referring Manikaran tourist hut kasol

But it shows the message "Tariff Not Available for chosen Period"..also discussed by this thread on BCM, it won't be available.
