Map: Ladakh & Zanskar (All routes)

Tried to combine all existing route maps of the Ladakh & Zanskar region into one umbrella for our reference. I hope it would be useful for others as well. The Nubra + Chanthang part already existed on this thread.

Adding everything that is west of Leh. There are further routes that could still be mapped on this one, however instead of making everything in one go, I would prefer to share a non-finalized map.

Right click the below Ladakh and Zanskar Map and save the image file to view in higher resolution, since resolution is scaled according to screen resolution.

Can i get a even better resolution map by mail ? [email protected]. I plan to get it printed on Banner material so that can use it without tearing or getting damaged by water.

Printers who make large prints, are accustomed to blowing up images while printing them. Try and getting one printed with the existing file, it will likely come out decent enough.

Okies, I will visit the printer who is also a friend of mine and verify if it can be printed. Otherwise what options do I have ? A High resolution image of 4 Mega Pixel or so is possible ?

That is something only Harsh can answer, but I believe he had said earlier that he doesn’t have a higher resolution version. So even if he enlarges the file on his own, it would be the same as getting it done by a print shop.

Here is what I could do with Photoshop CC using the default image resize program. This isn’t as good as some of the plugins professionals use and since I am not a professional, I am not sure I did this properly.

Dear Yogesh,

Hats off to your helping and quick responses. It really needs a lot of time and commitment to run a BCMTouring the way you are doing it. ....

RAR File given by Yogesh ji is possible to print.

But what size do you want ?

It shows size of
69.445 inch x 40.875 inch
Do You want this size ?
or want smaller size ?

Try to print this file in black & white A4 size paper.
If You can read the size of fonts, then it is OK on paper also.
But try to make it big 2 times, 4 times to check readable font size on A4 paper.
What size do you want decide & go for that size to print.

Rohan Lodaya :- Yogesh Sarkar mentioned correctly, I did not create a high-res file of this map - as the intent was to be portable and as small screen friendly as possible. I carried A4/A3 prints only so that it is handy to use. What he suggested is something that I would have done too - blow up the image on photoshop - something that any printer can do. The image will not be as clear - but it will be bigger.

Sorry this is how things are at the moment.

I have given it to the Flex printing guy. Will get results and post them here on the group.

So as per map, if we plan to make it Diskit-Shylok- Tangse- Spangmik- Chisul-Chumathang- Tso Moriri - Kuru- Leh, out last and next fuel stations shall be Diskit and Kuru respectively. Or are there any more fuel stations ( Hoping to get a positive reply :) )
