Maruti Suzuki has launched Ciaz with a new 1.5 liter DDiS diesel engine, which it has developed in house.
The new engine produces 225 Nm of torque between 1500-2500 rpm and 96 bhp at 4000 rpm. The engine is mated to a brand new 6-speed manual transmission, which features reverse gear located next to the fist hear, in order to reduce hand effort while parking.
Maruti Suzuki is calming best in class fuel efficiency of 26.82 kmpl, as well as better NVH characteristics thanks to the use of dual mass flywheel with optimized compression, resulting in reduced engine fluctuations.
