Who Am I
Day 2 continued – Tiru Fall

The plan in the morning got goofed up a little bit and after a delayed breakfast, we started late at around 10-30 AM for Tiru fall. The original road was undergoing some maintenance work and was in bad shape. So we had to take another road which was really nice.

We took some photographs from the car, but decided to stop at those places while coming back.

We had to cross this brook to go near the fall.

We had to walk for a small distance to the base of the fall. There is a Shiva temple on top beside the fall. Had we had come by the original road, then we would have been at the top of the fall. But who doesn’t know that the best view of any fall can be seen from its base! So the closure of the original road proved to be a boon for us.

Who Am I
Day 2 continued – The Three Rivers

We changed our temporary abode to Rana’s country cottage. After lunch, we set out for a tryst with three rivers of McCluskieganj. First on the list was the Chhoti river, or the small river, which formed a gorge while flowing through the hilly terrain. However, the still water was not a very pleasant sight.

Next was the Degadegi river.

All these rivers are fed by monsoon water, so they lost their charm somewhat due to lack of water. We visited the bridge over the Damodar, which had palash trees lined on the both the banks.

The sunset was nice, but it was no match for the one on the previous day.

In the evening, we saw the statues of freedom fighters at Nindra, and tried our hand at night, er… evening photography.

Who Am I
Day 3 : March 25, 2019

It being the last day of the tour, we could not resist the temptation of another morning walk.

After breakfast, we were on the road again. This time we took the Chandwa road. The first halt was at Nindra to take another photograph of the statues.

The Chandwa road was very scenic. Although we did not stop the car anywhere, but there was enough reason to go berserk with the camera.
