Paying excessive (3 Times than TVS) just for brand?? Doesn't make any sense.
I am inclining to Himalayan BS6 or Jawa Perak.
To me, REH is bit overpriced, In the same money you can get Gixer 250 / Dominar 400 with lot more power and refinement (Suzuki) and fz250 with similar power, lightweight and refined.

And all the above bikes can be used very well for touring.

Mandar

All RE bikes a overpriced when comparing performance-they sell for the "X" factor:)-though i am eagerly waiting for the upcoming TB replacement the Himalayan engined METEOR-finally a six speed gearbox

I agree about the X factor, I am still not ready to sell by RE 500. It works without any problem, have done lots of riding on it (almost 70K) in last 8 yrs.
Not the confusion is between 250's, and Dominar 400

Two of my friends bought D400 2019's on my recommendation -From every perspective the D400 is pure value-and i find it a little too tingly for my fingers still.
Have ridden the Fz250 a couple of times -and find it no upgrade on my Avenger220-and it is actually buzzy after 90kmph though have ridden it upto 130kmph.
The Suzuki250 is a refined uptodate product-but then is whacklly expensive -so the mind does a double check on the value proposition.
Why not go and test ride a 2020 Ktm250 -and it is supposed to be the most reliable KTM with the bottom end of D390 but having 33% less power-and i find it the best looker of the lot-well worth a try

I have been to KTM stores for the test ride of ADV 390, but seat height :( . I was so upset, didn't check the other bikes. I think I need to revisit the stores after lockdown.

Actually, I came across a 2019 model Gixxer 250 with 3K odo on OLX. Owner is asking for 1.70L. will be checking that bike this weekend.
If everything is ok, what should be the price?

@Mandar_C500 , the owner is asking too much money for the Gixxer250-it is a product that hardly sells -the price depreciation is 25-33% in the first year -so between 1.25-1.4lakhs will be the correct price-the second hand market is brutal-show him the money and drive a good deal

Yep, he is asking little too much. I am waiting for the price reveal of Yamaha FZS 25. If I can get it below 1.6 then I will go for it.
Haven't made a counter offer yet. Waiting for the Yamaha

The Japs are as overpriced as RE-Bajaj and KTM have all the performance/value aces lined up on their table
