Mirrorless Interchangable lens cameras..... Opinions sought.

SONY SLT a55 is the best or may be NX100 also the best alternatives and better alternatives than entry level DSLRs.

Best for who? Making such blanket statements is easy. One must always keep in mind that every user has different needs.

I've been reading for quite sometime about translucent mirrors used in these cameras and have been wondering that the amount/quality of light reaching sensor should be much reduced if its being shared by viewfinder compared to DSLR with mirror. Any opinions? Also i guess sony has never been successful in marketing DSLR (or cameras field as such), they are pushing for this mirrorless system with heavy advertising.

hahaha .... best for an amateur like me. :) Maybe for those people who 1) Needs a cheap , light Dslr equivalent with bigger (Apcs)sensor than micro four third
2) Donot want to invest much in lenses after the first buy

Also my idea is mainly based on dpreview's gold award to SLT a55.

But at the same time this site has awarded oly XZ1 a gold award which is absard as this cam is not good in processing jpeg comparing to s95 or lx5 although price is 30,000 INR for nothing. i have read Sony is trying its best to advertise and probably influencing (bribing?) many reviewers in web world......hmmm


Good News For NEX lovers :- wait for NEX 7 with evf coming in March april 2011 with a series of e mount lenses.

Can you explain it to me?
Isn't a particular combination of the exposure triangle supposed to give the same exposure?
You are saying that the full frame body will produce brighter images because the sensor size is more and it will gather more light. But, for a particular combination of the aperture, shutter speed and ISO, the amount of light hitting per unit area of the sensor will remain same isn't it?

I am a little confused now. I will have to do some R&D. Watch this space.
