Nope! I was in the rival med college near the race course on Sholapur road.

Sadly, that canteen has closed down.

No special place that I had usal in. Would love your recipe!
AAh! AFMC. Somehow we dont count the AFMC, DIAT, NDA, CME into our own Pune Institutes.
They are very prestigious and belong to the army and hence the country.
Anyways, whenever we leave our college the college canteen is occupies the most prominent place in memory.

What is the difference between Behl and Misal? I think both are popular and I don't know the difference because it has been years since I ate anyone of those.
Bhel has puffed rice(actually murmuras) and pharsan.
It can be dry or wet.
Wet (OOli Bhel) is very mouth watering fast food.
Uses imli chatni, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves, and a green chillies - ginger chutney.
Bhel is all very easy to mix dish. (almost no cooking is required, as most of the ingredients are purchased locally)
Street food.
Misal you can see for yourself by going through the recipe and photo.

Please post the recipe.
I shall write a okay okay recipe and post it. I am not cooking for few days because my uncle passed away 4 days back.
so when we get back to some normalcy at home, I shall prepare these very easy to cook items and then post some bad pics.
Till then please bear with the recipe.

What is Tamda Rasa? I heard this term in Kolhapur. Is it some kind of mutton?
In Western Maharashtra i.e. Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, people eat very very spicy food.
In Kolhapur esp. the fare is by far very spicy.
Kolhapur is famous for the Tambda Rassa and Pandhara Rassa of Mutton.
It is Kolhapuri style of cooking. Now, of the Tambda Rassa and Pandhara Rassa of Mutton.
Tambda Rassa (i.e. the red curry) is very spicy
Pandhara Rassa tastes like a nutritious soup which is bland as far as the tikha nature is concerned.
Like its name it is white in color.

Something of my own.
Even I always wonder that a bhel in one region is pharsan in another (or something of that sort).
Or as amit bhai pointed in the Usal thread in Indore the Usal is spicy and Misal is quite bland.
I am receiving more queries about Maharashtrian dishes.
Till now for me I always felt that the vada pav is the only known food to masses outside the state.
But these questions have made me realize that there is lots of facts which ned more light.
So I shall try in my own way
