Rishi bhai
Before you going just done your bike service. No modification required. You can read thing to carry t log on bcmtouring.
I will suggest you that go via Srinagar instead of Manali route because you can adjust AMS easily. Purchase good bike riding gear.

Ravi bhai, the problem is we need to visit WAGAH BORDER too, and going via Srinagar will unnecessarily add lot of kilometers of travel. As fas AMS is concerned will rely on Medicines if we feel, but after manali we will be halting at Jispa as mentioned in some of the post to come over AMS.

If you go via Manali to Leh,
You have to waste time to get permit for Rohtang Pass !

While coming back to Manali from Leh, you need no permit !

If your bike does feel trouble on a higher pass, you can ask local mechanic / service center to adjust it !
