Hey BCMtians..Wassup..!!

Hope you guys keep travelling, exploring & sharing content as always..!! Here goes a bit from my part too

Been a while noticing, not many people write or log anything about Mumbai...!!!
I mean isn't Mumbai also a part of West India too...?

So this log goes to all the folks who are browsing from other parts of India & the next time you visit Mumbai, do check out the places i am going to log & list in this thread..!! Btw there are a lot of folks in Mumbai itself who might not have visited these places, so this one goes for yo guys too...!!

I myself am a Motorcycle Maniac, and for people who know me, i never travel without my bike. But there are always a few places where motorcycles dont reach and i have always avoided such locations...Not this time though, this time i gave my bike a days rest & ventured out using the public transport. A rikshaw, train, taxi, ferry & a toy train...all in a day..damnn..!! Not to mention my stamina was tested too :supz:

PS : I Love my Bike

So the day begin with scouting a location for this week to be explored in Mumbai which not many people visit..!! And it turned out to be A World Heritage Site "Gharapuri Caves" also known as "The Elephanta Caves"

Will leave you guys with a video for the amazing place we visited, route, tickets and the most important - Experience..!! Watch & do tell me if you liked the video and also let me know of a few places you guys would like me to cover in Mumbai..!! Lets make Mumbai Proud..!!

Very interesting indeed. Its a shame most people haven't been to this place but it also reflects a bit on our maintenance of these heritage sites. Mumbai is of course a vibrant place with lots to offer. We had a BCMT meet a couple of years back and had gone to Vandri Lake near Manor. Amazing place. Such tranquility near Mumbai is unbelievable.

Try that next time. Its not a fancy place but I have been there numerous times since then and have always liked the peace there.

Thanks for the info saneguy..!!
Well its about time we had another BCMT G2G, isn't it?

Btw, i have been to Vandri Lake, its tranquil still no doubt but only if you visit it on weekdays. On weekends you would have hoards of bikers and squids littering the place. Also, we saw the place which takes you near the lake in...has been spoiled, broken bear bottles, plastic and what not.!!

What i can do is maybe scout for some other spot along the lake somewhere ahead & log it here.

Thanks
-Rohan

Hello Leo pandey, a great experience you shared. It is always wise to get to know places in their own terms. Mumbai of course known to be vibrant and is called as the city that never sleeps. There are many serene and quiet places in Mumbai and near Mumbai apart from Ajanta and Ellora caves, they are of course magnificent but Mumbai has much more to give. Take for example, Lonavala, Matheran- a trek to peb is what I recommend everyone, but not in rainy season.

Some other Unknown places to visit in Mumbai are:

Kanheri Caves
Sewri Flamingo Point
Karnala Bird Sanctuary
Vardhman Fantasy
Mahakali Caves
Arnala Fort
Global Vipassana Pagoda

I am proud to say that I have already visited these places and ask everyone to do so to explore the inner parts of Mumbai.
