Mumbai to Harihareshwar road status?

Hi folks,

I am thinking to travel from Mumbai to Harihareshwar. Plan is to go there tomorrow (7th Sep) by my car, stay there for a day and return on Sunday (8th Sep).

Can anyone please throw some light on road conditions from Mumbai to Harihareshwar?

regards
Ashish

I would call the road status ‘doable’. The recent heavy monsoons and flooding would have created many pot holes. But on the whole doable. It might be raining heavily there though.

We came via Pali-Roha-Mhasla road. Road had lots of potholes, lots of curves and all the way it was either drizzle or heavy rain. It took 6 hours for just 200km drive (from Mumbai to Harihareshwar)

Mumbai to Harihareshwar
Travelled via Panvel->Khalapur->Khopoli pali->Mangaon->Mhasala->Harihareshwar.
Khopoli Pali road is partially in bad condition.Mumbai Goa highway was ok for majority of the part
Mhasala to Harihareshwar is a single road & there are no alternate roads.
Mangaon to Mhasala road is in pathetic condition and there is a road construction work throghout. Avoid this road.
Google map shows this route & hence most of the tourist travel by this road. This road is extremely painful journey for senior citizens & causes damage to the cars. Use the other road instead

While returning, we travelled by other road which is in good condition for majority of the part. This is from Lonere junction on Mumbai goa highway.
Lonere->Goregaon->Mhasala->Harihareshwar. From Mumbai, this is about 22 Km of additional journey & about 30 minutes of time which is worth the time.

Harihareshwar to Shrivardhan road is in good condition.
Heard from locals that Shrivardhan to Dive agar road is in bad shape & hence did not travel.
