Mumbai - Vadodara - NH8 - Dashcam Video for Road Conditions

Hi All,

I recently did a short trip to Vadodara in November 2015. I recorded the entire trip through my dashcam. This will clearly give everyone traveling through this route a good idea about road conditions and traffic.

We left Mumbai at around 5.30 AM. The video starts from Nala Sopara (just before Virar) at around 6 AM and ends at the exit to Vadodara city off NH8. It is a very long video so one can skip to specific sections if need be.

I do hope some of you will find this useful to assess the road conditions on NH8 up to Vadodara.

Nice Video. Thanks for sharing it. I just glanced thru' it and that itself took more than 1.5 hours.
What speed did you maintain? Which vehicle [XUV 5OO]? There were cars driven faster than you, were they 120+ kmph?

Glad you liked the video. We were cruising at an average of 90-100kph. But the traffic on NH8 drags down the average speed to about 70-75 kph. We were in a XUV 500. There were lots of crazy guys doing 120-140 kph. We did not want to do that at all

Sorry for replying a little late. We reached Vadodara by 11.30-45 AM. Took us another 45 mins to reach our hotel which was bang in the middle of the city (Alkapuri).
