Hi I am new to this forum and this is my first post so forgive me for any mistakes.
This story is about my first long (not so long)bike trip from ahmedabad to Bhuj (Gujarat) back in Feb 2015.
Before I start let me introduce myself.
I am 34 now ,my home town is Rewari (Haryana) and I m a soldier by passion and profession.
About riding experience
I have done
ladakh circuit in Sep2018 (on my pulsar 180) rest all on my bullet std 350.
Sikkim numerous time from 2016 to 2019 like gurudongmar, nathula, pelling,namchi and darjeeling hills. I am posted at siliguri that's why so many trips to Sikkim.
Complete kuchh area of gujarat.
Guwahati to tawang in April 21.
Meghalya in Dec 22.
Let's came to main story
I booked RE bullet std 350 in Oct 2014 through their dealer karnavati bikes ahmedabad and paid the full amount of 88k to CSD. The dealer gave me waiting period of 2 months. After 2 months when I called them about delivery of my bike they start giving excuses and finally I got a call on 24 Feb 15 that my bike is ready and I can take delivery on next day.
I m so excited and booked a ticket for night bus from Bhuj to ahmedabad on 25 Feb. Reached ahmedabad on next day morning and went to dealership straightway. Complete the documentation and other formalities ant took the delivery at around 4 pm. My initial plan was transport the bike through any courier company from ahmedabad to Bhuj and return to Bhuj by bus itself. But none of the transport company ready to transport my bike bcoz I don't have all the documents like RC and others I have only bike insurance which is issued on bike engine & chassis no.
So after visiting various transport companies offices and none of thm ready to book my bike I finally decide to ride it to Bhuj myself. Time is about 6pm now filled the tank full and start riding toward Bhuj. The main problem with me is that I don't have helmet as I initially planned to take a bus back to Bhuj. In Feb the sun sets early and the temp dips down in this western part also.
Continue riding on that ahmedabad -samakhyali highway without helmet was really painful. Lots of dust and cold air entering in eyes makes it very difficult. Took a tea brake on roadside dhaba and bought a scarf like clothe and tie it around head and face and start riding again.
Time is around 8 or 8:30 now and start looking for stay options. Reached drangadhra, took left diversion and enter the city. Found a cheap lodge book a room and rest for the night after dinner.
Next day woke up early complete the morning rituals and start the ride reached Bhuj around 11 am.
Completely satisfied by bike performance and happy.
