Thanks a lot for the wishes, Gaurav Chopra.Congratulations
Thank you so much, Mandar.Congratulations
Alloys with tubeless tyres will definitely encourage me to ride more frequently.New chapter of riding to start soon?
Thank you very much, IJS.Congratulations.
That's great to know from an existing TB500 owner. Many congratulations. How do you see this new 350 and H'ness ? Still I can't fathom the fact that a TB500 can be replaced by a 350. Let me try to a TD to see what new classic has in offer over my TB500. I was a bit inclined to H'ness given Honda's smooth engine.Except the reduced cubic capacity, power and torque figures, in all other departments - refinement, fit and finish, ride and handling, accessories, sitting posture, dual channel ABS, BSIV to BSVI, new engine, new chassis, less NVH, etc. - the all new Classic 350 is an upgrade. My son sold his Interceptor 650 and booked Halcyon Black Classic 350. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of two new Classics!![]()
Thanks a lot, kprasad. That's great to know from an existing TB500 owner. Many congratulations.
I didn't like H'ness's narrow seat, riding stance, fewer availability and service network. How do you see this new 350 and H'ness ?
From Thunderbird 500 to the new Classic 350, yes, it is a downgrade, if we consider tank capacity, engine capacity, power and torque, lack of kick-starter, double horn, etc. But in all other departments like Bybre brakes with dual channel ABS and larger discs, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, riding stance, better ride and handling, engine refinement, better fit and finish, etc., the new Classic 350 wins the race easily. Moreover, with the production of Thunderbird 500 stopped, the availability of spares in future becomes a big question. Also, I want to change from a cruiser to an all-rounder. So, booked one.Still I can't fathom the fact that a TB500 can be replaced by a 350.
Oh no! I will stick on to TB500 itself if the resale is going to be this low in TNFinally, I bade farewell to Blue Bird once and for all today evening. I sold my Thunderbird 500 for ₹ 57 k to the highest bidder ...........The used-bike dealers in Chennai quoted ₹ 50 k and less as they cited nil demand for Thunderbird 500.
First glimpse of my would-be companion. Delivery is expected after a week. After many test-rides of Himalayan, Interceptor 650, Meteor 350, Honda H'ness CB 350 and Classic 350 in the past, just few minutes ago, I booked the new generation Classic 350 Halcyon Green with some accessories through Royal Enfield MiY app. The tentative delivery date is 7 Nov 2021. Excited!
