9/12/2021 : I rode to and fro Javvadhu Hills from my Chennai home [431 km]. I left 4:30 am and returned home at 3:37 pm. I took the route Chennai>Chengalpet>Uttiramerur>Vandavasi>Polur>Jamuna marathoor>Vellore>Chennai. I maintained steady 60-70 kmph as specified in the owner's manual for running in. Most of the times, ECO mode was displayed on the instrument panel. Tankful to tankful fuel efficiency is 38.67 kmpl.
My Alpinestars gloves, Dowco Fastrax magnetic tank bag and Royal Enfield Touring Boots also had breaking in along with my Classic 350!

10/12/2021 : Got my Classic 350 serviced at Royal Enfield Company Service Centre [first free service]. When I enquired about the 'Inlet/exhaust tappet setting' specified in serial number 4 of periodical maintenance in the owner's manual, I was told that they would open the front seat and petrol tank and then open the valve head to inspect and adjust the valves. They would also replace the gasket that come in the first service kit. It would take time till evening, I was told. I got the bike at 4:30 pm and returned home by 5 pm. A day well-spent at the service centre's customers lounge.

Great sir
Thanks.
How does it feels to ride the non-vibrations bike? I know it's too early however want to hear from you.
The new twin-tube chassis enables maneuvering in city ride a very easy and simple job as compared to my erstwhile Thunderbird 500. The new chassis, the new BS6 engine and the new platform achieves NVH to the minimum levels. The Bybre brakes with dual channel ABS are awesome. The touring seats are comfortable for long rides although I rode 430 km in one day after 4 years and 9 months. On the whole, I am enjoying the new Classic 350.

Thanks for the feedback sir,
Yesterday, I rode Himalayan, new chassis, new engine and new riding stance (than classic 500) to Nagpur from Pune. The bike is mile muncher, very less vibrations. I covered the 740 km distance in 11 hours. I enjoyed the ride, however not as much as classic 500. I cant feel connected to that bike. I don't know why but I can't enjoy it as much as I do with classic. Hence want to know your opinion.

Regards
Mandar

Today afternoon, I took delivery of my Classic 350 from the Royal Enfield Brand Store, Adayar, Chennai. The showroom staff fixed all other accessories except the windshield. I was asked to visit their Company Service Station, which is 12 km away from my home one way. So, after lunch, visited the Company Service Station at OMR, Chennai, got the windshield fixed and returned home by 5 pm.

I booked the bike on 23 Sep 2021 through MiY app and got it delivered on 02 Dec 2021. I have got the RC in mParivahan and DigiLocker. I will get the RC in smart card in another month or so. The HSRP will come in 15 days.

Another journey has started, literally and metaphorically! :) =D>
Looks lovely.
Congratulations.

Chennai>Tharangampadi Danish Fort>Chennai . 527 km . 14 hours . 37.35 kmpl

24 February 2022 [Thursday] : My first long ride in 2022. My second long ride on my all-new Classic 350. I had visited this fort in 2004. At that time, there was no museum in the fort. So, decided to explore it once again.

Left Chennai Royapettah home at 4:20 am, took the East Coast Road [ECR]. My first halt was at Puducherry [Pondy] at Hotel Arya Bhavan for breakfast at 7:00 am. Then, followed the ECR via Cuddalore>Chidambaram>Seerkazhi>Thirukkadayur and reached the Danish Fort at Tharangampadi at 9:50 am. The road from Cuddalore to Chidambaram was not good. Road-widening works were in full swing at many stretches.

The ancient Danish Fort was built in 1620. For details, please visit : Fort Dansborg - Wikipedia

Tharangampadi beach was enriched with ozone, it seems as mentioned here: Tharangambadi - Wikipedia

I spent about 3 hours, visiting the fort, museum and the beach, clicking photographs and recording videos.

At 12:45 pm, I started my return journey to home. Stopped at the same Hotel Arya Bhavan, Pondy for a late lunch of mini meals, washed down by a couple of Madras panneer goli soda. I left Pondy at 3:30 pm and reached home, sweet home at 6:20 pm. My Classic 350 consumed 14.11 litres of petrol for 527 km, translating into 37.35 kmpl.

Overall, a day well-spent for me and my Classic 350.
