I too am taking it as water bottle.
Some close up pictures will help.
Particularly angle at which electric transmission is interacting with pedal drive.

Due to power assist, it won't give much workout. So I wouldn't really consider it for that.

It could be considered as a cheaper and an eco-friendly means of transportation but there is negligible difference in the price of e-bike and e-scooter which would again tilt the scale in favour of the later due to comfort, storage space and its ability to can carry a pillion rider. Personally I would be happy to choose an ebike if it was atleast 20% cheaper.
