We had planned for following Itinerary for Feb-2023 for Uttarakhand. Travelling with family of 4 including 2 kids of 13 and 7 yrs.
05-02-2023 - Reach Haridwar by 13.00 hrs from Gujarat by train. Evening Aarti and rest for the day.
06-02-2023 - Haridwar to Sari village. Enroute Rishikesh and Ukhimath etc…
07-02-2023 - Day trek to Deoriya Tal and back to Sari
08-02-2023 - Day trek to Tungnath and back to Chopta or Sari for night stay.
09-02-2023 - Early morning trf to Joshimath and visit Auli via chair lift. Night stay booked in Auli ski resort.
10-02-2023 - Trf to GMVN Nanda devi Auli resot via Ropeway from Joshimath and stay.
11-02-2023 - Stay at Nanda devi eco resort and snow activities.
12-02-2023 - Leave from Auli to Haridwar… reach by evening.
13-02-2023 - Haridwar to Delhi Airport for onwad flight to Ahmedabad.
It was our earlier plan and also booked for GMVN Auli for 3 nights. But due to current condition in Joshimath, above plan is not advisable. Hence we are thinking of changing the location to Harsil . Hope we may get good snow / snowfall during this period. Till 10th Jan there was no snow at all in Harsil.
Below is our revised plan.
05-02-2023 - Reach Haridwar by 13.00 hrs from Gujarat by train. Evening Aarti and rest for the day.
06-02-2023 - Haridwar to Uttarkashi. Enroute visit Rishikesh, Kempty falls etc…
07-02-2023 - Uttarkashi to Harsil and overnight stay.
08-02-2023 - Nearby day treks depending upon snow conditions.
09-02-2023 - Visit to Gangotri depending upon road / snow conditions.
10-02-2023 - Stay at Harsil. Can we visit Gartang gali/nellong valley?
11-02-2023 - Harsil to Tehri lake. Stay at GMVN eco huts
12-02-2023 - Stay at tehri and nearby sightseeing (Dhanaulti / kanatal etc)
13-02-2023 - Tehri to Delhi Airport for onward flight to Ahmedabad. Reach by 15.00 hrs
Pls advice some stay options at Harsil…Also advice any contact details of reliable car hire driver.
May also advice for any other location for good amount of snow/snow fall during this time.
