Need Help: Arunachal Plan

We are four + 2 kids (5 year old and 4 year old) planning for a road trip from Trichy to Arunachal (Sela Pass/Tawang/Bumla/Madhuri Lake) or Sikkim (Gangtok/Nathula pass) and also cover Cherrapunji by two cars (an Xcent and a Punto) during April 2017. The tentative plan is as follows:
Day 0: Trichy to Chennai
Day 1: Chennai to Vizag
Day 2: Vizag to Kolkata
Day 3 to Day 10 : Advice needed please
Day 12 to 15: Return Journey to Chennai/Trichy.
Few vital clarifications needed from members:

1. Whether any of the above two places do-able with children considering altitude and AMS in Sela pass, Bumla or Nathula pass? Adults can very well take Diamox but for children it will become risky.

2. Can we witness any snow in those passes in mid April?

No AMS chances in Sela Pass

2. Can we witness any snow in those passes in mid April?

Least chances

Let me know if you are planning for Tawang

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
So it has to be Tawang, Kaziranga, Cherrapunji. Can you help me in making a proper itinerary?

P.S: Hoping some snow at Bumla atleast!

Myself, my wife, my brother, sis-in-law and two kids are planning to do the trip. Maybe we will ask ladies and children to join us at Guwahati by air. Meanwhile we guys will take a single car and drive at tandem to reach Guwahati to pick them up for further travel. Long hauls in a car is not a problem for either of us as we are used to several long drives. Similarly return flight ticket booking for ladies and children will be made as per progress either from Guwahati or from Kolkata. Is it advisable to take our car to Bumla or we need a 4WD/SUV? Dates are as follows:

14.04.2017 : Chennai To Vizag
15.04.2017: Vizag To Kolkata
16.04.2017: Kolkata to Guwahati
17.04.2017 to 23.04.2017 - Planning needed
24.04.2017 - Buffer day
25.04.2017 to 27.04.2017: Return Journey to Chennai

For bumla i would suggest hire a local cab and driver from Tawang..

17.04.2017 : Guwahati to Bhalukpong (Night Halt)
18.04.2017 : Bhalukpong - Tawang
19.04.2017 : Get permit for Bumla and Tawang Local sight seeing
20.04.2017 : Tawang to Tezpur (Long long journey of 15+ hours)
21.04.2017 : Tezpur to kaziranga
22.04.2017 : kaziranga
23.04.2017 : kaziranga to Guwahati

You can Add Majuli for a day..
You have to skip Meghalaya completely...

In love with mountains
1. AMS might be an issue at Bumla - please check.
2. As per the itinerary suggested by @sanuroxz : getting permit for Bumla, visiting Bumla and Tawang local sight-seeing - all are to be done in the same day.
3. Kolkata to Guwahati in one day - please check whether it is possible.
4. IMHO, if the start and end dates are final, it will be advisable to fly to Guwahati instead of driving all the way there. Then number of actual days of journey can be increased, halts at Bomdilla / Dirang and more days at Tawang will provide chances of exploring the region. Otherwise, travelling everyday for long hours on bad, mountainous roads may not turn out to be as rosy as it appears in the planning stage. :)
5. Bon voyage.

Bumla is not on much height... If tehy can cross Sela without issue no problem in Bumla at all...

Dada is right... better while returning take break in Bomdila or Dirang... it will be awesome ...

Thanks for suggestions.
@mousourik We adults actually wanted to make a road trip to Ladakh but cannot do with a heavy heart leaving our children back at home with their grand parents. Since it is difficult for children considering AMS hence chose NE. After going through several of the travelogues in NE and Bhutan I found that to cover these seven sisters one need to do many trips. Given the office leaves, we thought as a first step we should first visit Arunachal.
@sanuroxz I've a special liking for visting Meghalaya too having a plan this far from south of India and not to waste an oppurtunity (esp Cherrapunji and Dawki clear water lake). Is there a possibility if I add two more days to have a visit to these places. Sorry for the bother.

If you can add 2 more days you can add to your plan...
April is not a very good time for Meghalaya... i suggest one should visit Meghalaya in rainy days...
