Keep us posted Sandy. As I am also planning a 10 day trip during the last week of October with 4-5 people in a car. Our main interest lies doing Kinnaur via Shimla/Narkanda. I shall keep looking for any updates from fellow BCMtians. Happy travelling.
Sure Sheeraj, will do
Thank you!!!

Yes.
They need similar requirement of Negative Test Report from ICMR Lab only.

They are allowing only 4 persons in a 4-5seater Vehicle.

0 Driver
3 Passengers

Time also consumed at borders.
You have to go under checks at borders for 4 wheelers.

Bikes are moving without much problem but they are checking all.
Thanks Satinder Ji! Really helpful

Kinnaur Hotel Association is having regular meets.
No opening chances this month.
Villagers / Small place people are still afraid of outsiders approaching their areas.
You will certainly not be welcomed by hill people like earlier.
Himaachal is still afraid of it.
Better plan B/C/D to Uttarakhand, decide your area and go.
Satinder Ji,
Completely agree with your advice and that's why kept Munsiyari via Bageshwar/Birthi as a back-up. As of now, Uttarkhand Government has allowed a 12-hour visit from the border without COVID 19 test but friends informed that police at borders still creating issues especially when you don't have UK registered vehicle. Looks like new guidelines would be coming in on 21st Sep and then let's see how it goes!
But will be hooked to know more on Spiti/Kinnaur circuit as that's the target for 2020 :)
Maybe someone from nearby area can update in the forum.

Forget Spiti till 31 March 2020.

Village Panchayats are not going to open anything sooner.
Hotel Association can't help in these Conditions.

After opening up of Rohtang Tunnel there is some chamce to move towards Lahaul or Leh Highway if villagers there welcome tourist traffic.

Big Groups are still not allowed to stay by Local Panchayats.

Yes Sandeep, please keep posted. Actually we thought of camping if there are no accommodations but not sure that weather in October would be bearable enough for such kind of experience :)

One of my friend made several calls to himachal hotel, home-stays etc and he was told that whole himachal including kaza is open now.
Road via sach is in bad shape and 4*4 is recommended.

Things to make sure:

1 Covid test negative report for every individual (Not rapid test, but complete report acceptable by ICMR)
2 Atleast Two days confirmed hotel booking
3 Online pass is mandatory
4 these details will get verified at number of places.
5 Mask is mandatory (local people are really concerned about it)

NOTE: there can be certain self imposed restrictions in closed hemlets but there is no issue as such on larger picture

Best Regards
Sandy
