Need inputs on homestay / Cottages - Darjeeling - Pelling - Gangtok

Hi,

Planning to tour Sikkim between 16 - 22 June 2016. I'm looking for info related to Homestay / stay which is homely and NOT like a hotel during my travel in Sikkim.

Itinerary: (indicative)

16 - Bagdogra to Darjeeling
17 - Darjeeling Local
18 - Darjeeling to Pelling (Nite stay @ Pelling)
19 - Pelling - Yuksom - Gangtok
20 - Getting permits for Nathula & Zuluk, Gangtok Local
21 - Nathula - Zuluk - Kalimpong (Nite stay @ Zuluk or Kalimpong)
22 - Kalimpong to Bagdogra & Fly back to Bangalore.

Regarding Gangtok:-

I had stayed at Himakshi Lodge, near Paljor Stadium, Gangtok and it is owned by a lady. we booked a double bed room for Rs.400/= after some bargaining.

Hi Rajesh,

We stayed in Gangtok in Hidden Forest Resort (kind of a home stay.. but expensive -loved the place) . I had read somewhere that Nettle and Fern is another option you have over there.

Wonder if that'll help...

We were 2 persons and stayed in double room for Rs.400 only .
Parking outside hotel and hot water also.
You go on the spot and bargain more.

Thank you Folks, I stayed in Nestle Homestay (Darjeeling), Tamang Homestay (Gangtok) and SnowLion Homestay (Zuluk).

I will comeback with the post and photos in a separate thread. Again, Thanks to BCM touring forum, I read / learnt a lot of info about the place and it helped.
