Need suggestion: Manual vs Automatic for a 4x4 Jeep Compass

Once I lost my gear lock key in Haridwar, one Taxi driver from parking lot called a locksmith and he broke the lock in less than 10 mins.

I was surprised to see that but truth us truth.

That's the Truth and Skill level of our local mechanics and Jugad Technicians!

FCA solved my confusion as well, now there is only Automatic for 4x4. So choice is simple, Automatic it is!

May be I fall under the category so called "Old" where I prefer enjoying my journey without putting stress on changing gears!!
