I agree that Photoshop is best, but it is costly and you will also need to learn it. The processing is not that straight forward using photoshop. Also, you will not like to spend 45k just to improve the images unless you are a professional photographer.

I will say try photoscape or similar free photo editing softwares, I am using photoscape. You can do most of the required photo editing using this e.g. rotating, contrast/colour/brightness enhancement, sharpening etc using these tools. You will miss photoshop only when you will need to do selective editing etc.. else for normal editing photoscape will work well. You can also use it for batch editing of your photos. And above all it is very simple to use, just install and start editing.
Very true ! spending 45k, for a novice in photography, it will not be sensible idea though PHOTOSHOP is incomparable with other available softwares at present. One fine day surely I may go for it once I find myself good enough in photography. Till then I will try Photoscape, can you put little focus on batch editing?
Thanks

Batch editing is used for applying similar sets of modification on a set of pictures, mostly I use it for watermarking the images and bordering.
It is very easy on photoscape, install it and once you open it you will get all the options on the first screen itself.

That really is not my fault.
You asked for THE BEST, in capitals!!
:D
No issue, little delay to go for that as idea is to get accustomed first in Photoscape then to have BEST one as suggested by Mohinderst that 'it is not so easy to use....'.

None of the BEST software is easy to use.
In most cases you have to study and learn for well over 3 to 4 months, full time!
completely agreed and ready to go ahead as downloaded Photoscape just now.
By the way can you suggest any online tutorial in this regard Sir...as seriously want to pursue. Thanks in advance.:)

yes, it is copyright.

As far as tips are concerned, try it once you find a setting suitable as per your requirement you can save it and reuse it rather than selecting those always. All other things are very simple to use.

When I first started I vowed against editing, would just crop and things like that, then I realised that there really is no substitute for editing, after seeing an amateur cousin of mine go full-fledged pro I realised that in today's world it's all about editing :(

Photoshop is quite technical really, for amateurs photoscape suits just fine.

Play with the deepen, darken, sharpen, backlight functions. They will do most of the job. I still try to keep the editing bare minimum.
