Yes, it does creep ahead on plains. A slight incline and it's of no use!
7000km to last service. I should have cleaned the Air filter earlier.

Opened the 3 bolts with 8mm T spanner. Easy task.

The bottom fabric kind on material was full of black dust and particle. Tapped a few times. Got better.

Did not feel much difference in driving. But FE seems to have gone but better.

Getting 20+ for office commute in off hours in Noida. Not bad. I seem to be gaining 1kmpl after filter cleaning. Or it could be all psychological.

20+ kmpl on MID on City commute is simply awesome. Congrats.
Happy driving.

So, after using Zest for a month for office commute, I took out SX4 again yesterday.

Boy, nothing beats a MT with free revving 1.6 petrol with stiff yet sporty suspension. Cherry on the cake? It runs on CNG  ....... You can tear the road apart and still pay peanuts per KM. :supz:

I loved using zest, but I cannt deny that SX4 is much more fun from every perspective cheaper to run and maintain, despite being 9 year old. And can I forget the fact that I bought it for half the price of Zest (and remember I bought Zest for a bargain).

Cars like Zest, Desire, excent, etc are simply not an upgrade for someone using SX4 or other mature sedan. Cannt comment about Aspire or I20 since i did not try them. So I know what my next purchase will be after few years.

We also had a sarkaari SX4 (VXi) about 9 years back. Used it for over 35K KMs in about 10 months before getting an upgrade.

It was really a fun-to-drive car. Those fantabulous grippy large tyres were awesome. Huge boot always helped in moving Earth.
Engine was meant to be revved, and pedal-to-metal runs became a part of regular life on NH-8. :D

Comparing Apple to Mango?
Zest driven with city mode to extract the mileage and SX4 in sport mode. I do not think you did justice!
I am sure Zest would be heavier than SX4.

Apple to Mango, yes, kind of.

Weight: SX4 is heavier.
Zest diesel mentions 1170kg and let me add 35kg for AMT kit = 1205KG.
SX4 is 1200 (yeah, its from suzuki era, not maruti era) + 90kg of CNG hardware = 1290kg.

But it is not about weight. In turbo zone MJD is much more punchy but you would not like revving this diesel too hard.
OTOH, that 1.6 Petrol begs to be revved.

Like clackson said, its not about the horse power, it is about how it is delivered. Its not about speed, its about how the car takes you to that speed.

On top the funny thing is, I bought AMT for my better half, but she almost refuses to switch from SX4.

Jeet,
Your quote:

My response: =D>=D>=D> Proves we have to follow order from better half not the viceversa:prayer:

Cleaned the Cabin filter. It was really dirty.

Good thing, it is a washable plastic filter. It is very fine material, not like what u see in home AC.

Removing and putting it back is very easy. Just unscrew. Lid mechanism is idiot proof.

Also, I do not know the purpose of this small box provided below AMT gear lever.

Guess: This seems to be a slot to provide for USB?
