Paaji- any good brand tire (Yoko, Michelin) with good driving skills and timely balance and alignment will last that long.
I sold my Duster at 48K Km's and that time tires still had 40% life left and those were Bridgestone.

@AnupamR I am off the opinion that Alignment in Duster should not be disturbed. Had I known this, I would not have touched it.
Most of the pre-mature tyre wearouts are due to Non-calibrated Alignment machine. The Caster and Camber readings needs to be checked. I say upfront to Alignment center is Caster and Camber are not per my expectations, I will not pay for Alignemtn charges!
Also, when you get your car aligment done next; please check out the values of Camber and Caster. I am curious how the values in North America gets reflected.
Once car was put on machine, checked Camber, Caster and Toe. Values were fine, no settings done. Still I paid for Wheel alignment in full. As with the machine only I was able to arrive at this decision!
If camber and caster is not correct to my expectation, Shop to get machine calibrated and then Alignment money will be paid.
I am not getting time to pursue on a topic. When car is dispatched by the Manufacturer, we need to get a Report to know the Front Camber, Caster; Rear Camber, Caster and Toe reading. We need to know the limits too.
I am NOW convinced tyre wear out is more due to wrong setting in Alignment machine than Indian Roads.

I do not recommend changing Engine Oil Grade to 5W-40. Renault uses 15W-40 on Duster and Nissan on Terrano / Sunny uses 10W-40.
Though both are same Diesel engines.
15W-40 is easily available in India at all IOCL outlets, why go for higher price synthetic oils?
Thanks for your valuable inputs. As I have mentioned, the car has always been serviced with synthetic oil right from 1st service and running butter smooth so there is no question to revert back to mineral oil now. Nissan A.S.S were using Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil for Terrano but I don't know the grade. It must be 5W-40.

If you have used 5W-40 Synthetic from beginning do not change the grade and type; continue.
Matching grade and type suffices. As Lube manufacturer needs to comply to specifications to label a particular grade.
In Nissan Engine Oil comes in Can of 4.5 litre and I just note the grade [10W-40] and type [Sem-Synthetic].
