PC feeling Slow

Is it possible that fully utilized HDD may be slowing down the response? ...
What do you mean by fully utilized? And yes, if there is less than about 20% free space on the HDD it will reflect on the performance (noticeably slower).
I assume your machine is set to defragment as per set schedule.

I have 500 GB HDD and less than 10GB were available on both partitions.

I have learned it the hard way that don't tinker with any thing unless its broken. Following that I haven't defragged the drives ever (untill yesterday). Today I am able to open a 150MB file in Corel Draw whereas in last couple of days it used to Hang up the PC.

Completely agree. Though in case of SSD, it is recommended not to defragment the data.
Indeed, SSDs should never be de-fragmented or 'optimized'. The larger the number of write operations the shorter is the life endurance of an SSD! Progress?
