DSCN0256.jpg

Photo taken with following settings:

F: 7.6
Shutter speed: 1/80
ISO: 80
Exposure: Aperture Priority

Please give feedbacks on how to improve

I like that you posted only 1 pic at a time.

3 distracting elements in this pic according to me ..

1 > Car
2 > Railing at both edges of pic
3 > Date Stamp

When you are shooting portraits, try to compose shot as close as possible to the subject, that will give you good blurred background and the subject will be distinct.

More feed backs from experts would be of great help .....

Adding to what Abhinav said, the subject is too much to the left corner and also looking the wrong way.

The very first thing you should know is composition techniques, There are many methods even I don't know many of them.. the below Video will help you .. Leave the technicality of camera as for now Just concentrate on composition ..

by no means i'm an expert at photography but i used a superzoom camera for nearly 3 years and clicked lot of portraits pictures. I shoot in AV mode. and the best option is to place the subject with the background far away. this will give you the Bokeh effect. In superzoom cameras its better to stand a little far from Subject and zoom in which will further add to the bokeh.
