Hi Friends,

I Just got to know that my P220 is accumulating JUNK near the front shocker on both the sides. More over I also found that my chain is also rusted.
Please help me out how to avoid this. Which oil should I apply to avoid this.

I have just got Motul chain Lube but don't know how to apply it. And what should I care about before applying.

Moreover I wanted to remove the HID as its focus is really a big problem moreover it is installed in Upper(High beam) so can't use it for pass. So thinking to remove it and install the original one. What will be the cost of the original socket and bulb.

Please help me to find the bike riding kit in Karolbagh (Delhi) as I need the knee caps, Bike riding Jacket and shoes.

Thanks
Prabhanjan

Come as you are!
Please be patient Prabhanjan. It is quite possible that this thread may have skipped the notice of many, else it is not possible that you would not get a single reply here.

Regarding your first question: Accumulating junk? Do you mean to say that muck sticks to the shocker tubes? A reason for this is that your shocker seals need replacement. They are leaking oil, and oil is attracting muck to stick on the surface near the seals. Please have that checked.

Secondly, to apply motul-chain lube, put your vehicle on center-stand, start the vehicle, slot it in the second gear so the the wheel rotates. Now, spray the lube, with the pipe directed towards the chain on the rear sprocket for say 20-30 seconds, till you feel that you have applied the lube all across the chain, evenly.

Regarding you query on riding gear, look no further than "Meandering India", a shop in Vasant kunj by a fellow rider Rajiv. He will provide you with whatever you need at discounted rates.

No idea on the HID.

For any other query please feel free to ask and do not get disheartened if you dont get reply at the speed of light.

Thanks Mate for the response.

no it is not accumulating the muck no oil leakage is there. Actually after washing or rain water remains on the particular section (I will post the pics for clearer reference as soon as possible) and due to that it is getting rusted. what my observation says. Now I don't know what should I apply there to remove the rust like any oil or anything.

And for the riding kit I will visit the mentioned shop.

Again thanks mate.

Moreover I am planning for a trip to Sambalpur Orissa, by the end of this month so I would be happy if you have any suggestions. Will be posting soon about my plans so that you will have a clear picture of my plans, routes and other points

Thanks
Prabhanjan :)

Best way to keep the rust away is to wash the non-painted area with a little bit of kerosene, especially in the monsoon season. Alternatively you can regularly put WD40/Zorik on it and it should help a bit.

HID's focus wouldn't be proper, because it is supposed to be installed in projector headlamps as the light spread of it is more than that of normal halogen tubes.
