We were disheartened not being able to go as per our plan. But it is always wise to bow down before the mighty nature.

After reaching Bairagarh, we went to Chamunda hotel for lunch. But it was closed, and they asked us to go to Hotel Sach Pass farther down.

After reaching Hotel Sach Pass, we ordered the customary Aloo paratha with curd at their restaurant, and started brainstorming for alternate plans. Plan B was to go towards Jammu side, but because of the prevalent situation, it had to be discarded. So plan C was to be enforced, and for that, we’d have to go to Chamba for night halt. We choose Chamba over Dalhousie because it would be a one night stay only, and it would be a little nearer our next destination. As it had been a long journey throughout the day, we were looking for any decent accommodation. We came across Krish Home Stay before entering Chamba, and decided to stay there. There was still some day light left, and we had travelled for 137.5 km.

After crossing a dam, we went to the left flank and soon got caught in a terrible traffic jam as a bus had broken down a little ahead on the narrow road.

Day 3 continued - Bharmour

Suddenly we came across a board indicating the first view of the Kailash peak. We were confused at first as, in no way can Kailash be seen here. Then we realised that there is another Kailash peak in this region.

Bharmour is famous for Chourasi temple – having eighty four large and small shrines in the same compound. We did not count the number, but some temples are very unique. Temples of Shiva, Narsing (avatar of Vishnu), Dharmaraj, Lakshna devi – all can be found there.

Superb photography. Completely glued to the log. I can understand your disappointment in not making it to Sach Pass. But journey is the destination, I guess.

Thanks @santanu. Our initial plan was to go to Killar and then explore Pangi valley - so that remained unfulfilled. However, we were happy with the way the entire tour evolved later on.
