10-Nov-2018: You may want to visit Madurai Meenakshi Temple - Wikipedia. It is on the way itself
12-Nov-2018: Poovar island mangroves might be of interest.
14-Nov-2018: Valanjanganam waterfalls is on the road itself. Panchalimedu & Parunthumpara are two view points with about 10 km each of detour from highway.
15-Nov-2018: Chaturnagapara viewpoint, Ramakkalmedu, Anayirangal dam etc
16-Nov-2018: Mattueptty, Echo point, Top station etc
17-Nov-2018: 10 hrs to Tumkur might require fast driving

Thanks Subru for your valuable inputs. Just a quick question if i have to skip one destination in kerala (due to time constraint), which one it can be among munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom or Varkala.

If given a choice I would skip Thekkady. Since you are with a 5 yr old kid and mother it might be easier to soak in the views from Munnar as most of them are accessible right from the point you step out of the car.
