Pune to Indore Route

Hello there,

I hope all are doing well.

I am planning a road trip to Indore (Limbodi) in October 2020 from Pune (Aundh) in my Honda City. We'll be travelling with my 2 year old toddler.

Please suggest best route considering :

1. Travel time - considering I am leaving early morning at around 6 from Pune
2. Road condition - since I am travelling with family which includes a 2 year old toddler
3. Halts in between - hygienic restaurants, scenic route, etc
4. <Any suggestions are welcome>

As per my understanding there are 2 routes :-
Route A: Pune - Narayangaon - Sangamner - Malegaon - Dhule - Julwania - Indore
Route B: Pune - Ahmednagar - Aurangabad - Edalabad - Burhanpur - Indore

Just if it helps - I prefer longer route to bad roads.

Any kind of travel tips are welcome

I wouldn’t recommend via Edlabad and Burhanpur. Road has been damaged due to rains, specially bridge near Barwah.

Though I am not sure of road conditions from Pune till Malegaon, but from Malegaon should be pretty good highways.

I would recommend route A via Sangamner. You should opt this route for Pune to Indore because of this route road in good condition.

Recommended route is Pune-Nasik-Dhule-Indore. Expected time of travel approx 10-12 hours. Dhule Kamat is good for lunch and clean toilets.

I traveled last year from Indore to Blr via Nashik Pune. Naashik Pune should be covered in off peak hours as Chakan traffic kills your speed.

I mark good pit stops when I travel. Feel free to use this. They have clean wash rooms. But again it’s of an year back.
