I am planning to ride to Gadag, Karnataka from Vellore, Tamil Nadu and further down to Goa by next week. Kindly update me on road condition and other tips on travelling in this route. Is it Ok to ride in Monsoon to Goa ?
From Vellore, I would be riding through Chithoor, KGF, Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Chithradurga, Hosapeta, Gadag- Betageri, Hebbali (Hubli), Dharwad, Mollem, to North Goa.

Hello Tilak, I maybe late in replying to your post. I just returned from a Bangalore - Goa (Agonda) and i took the following route.
Bengaluru - Tumakuru - Chitradurg - Haveri - Bankapur toll - Mundgod - Yellapur - Karwar - Agonda.
Bangalore to Haveri is a breeze. Took left after crossing Bankapur toll, road till Yellapur is scenic with occasional bad patches but drivable. Yellapur onwards, it is again a breeze. It took me a total of 10 hours, i drive sedately.

On my return, i drove from Yellapur - Hubali. It added some distance but roads were superb. Nothing to worry about except that rains in Western ghats can be challenging at times. Have a safe trip!

Thank you v_2prajh. yes I did came back home, 27/05/22. No rains by God's grace. The information, definitely, would remain helpful for fellow travelers.
