As you specifically ask for RE than Electra obviously better in terms of comfort and handling. There no big difference in STD500 and electra 350 maintenance and STD 500 looks and performance better than 350electra. If you able stretch your budget then std500 otherwise electra.

Well thanks to the holiday today. I went to RE showroom here in Jodhpur and test ride all the models. The conclusions I found are-

1. Classic - Awesome looks but comfort and ride experience was worst I'd say. It felt miserable on bumpy roads. Also not good for tall riders.

2. Electra - Nice height, well suited for tall riders. Very comfortable specially on bumpy road it felt very smooth. Just one downside is it's tyres. They are on thinner side as compared to Classic/TB. Also I personally didn't like it's tail lights.

3. Thunderbird - very much comfortable. U'll feel like u are sitting in a car. Very smooth on bumpy roads like Electra. Also it has got many features on the odometer like fuel indicator, trip status, mileage, next service due etc etc.

4. STD 500 - Woaaaah. It's like a bull. It has got the comfort of Electra with looks of Classic. Runs butter smooth on bumpy roads. The main advantage of this model is that u get carbureted engine with the Royal touch of hand made paint lines on the tank. Only downside is high price.

Sir after the test ride, I cancelled the choice of Classic. Now the deal is in between TB350 & Electra 350.

My question is that is there much difference in performance and maintenance in these two models ??

First of all Thanks to all the friends for their valuable feedback here.
After much discussion and reviews I booked the Electra. Shall get my Bull on next Wednesday.
Now some of my queries are -

1. When should I go for silencer change ? At the time of deliver or after 1000-2000km engine running ?
2. Best silencer available for the old thump and that too doesn't harm the engine.

Congratulations!

Though I don't own any Bullet.and other experienced members would reply, my views, however, on these queries are:

1. Actually never. Stock is the best. Those loud ones make look a good sound of the bike so irritating and a nuisance to everyone out there including rider!!

And if you wanna do it .then at least wait till 3000 kms of running in.

2. Again I don't know, but, as far as old thump is concerned...NO aftr market silencer gives that sound!!... Daily we see many people on the road ...... with a variety of sound silencers fitted in bullets...but what they do is just to increase noise pollution....... without even a glimpse of old CI engine thump....which was so calm, soothing and rhythmic.

Anyway, it's your call.
