Renting Motorcycles in India

Thanks a lot theloneranger. I spoke to Rajiv. The prices are a little high, I guess this should be fine.
How was your rental experience? I mean bike mechanical condition? spare parts? mileage etc? He only has 500CCs. Do you think 2 on a bike, we can do mountain driving on a 350cc? I am just checking

Hi @prkudixit, sorry for the late reply bhai!!!
Bike was good. Though it was a 2012/13 model, no mechanical failures. Tyres also new.
You will get basic spare parts like cables, sparkplugs,tubes and tools. Footpump you have to arrange.
Forget about mileage.
You can do it on a 350cc. But as I told before it will be backbreaking irrespective of the model. Hydel projects have totally screwed the roads.

Best place to rent motorcycle in Delhi is Karol Bagh, there are several shops which rent out motorcycles. Lali Singh (+91 11-572 8579 (o) +91 98 11114-0161 (m) [email protected] (old contact no. if it has changed then plz let me know) is the most famous amongst them, apart from him there is also Joga Motors and Pardesi motors (+91 11 ? 25714311(o) +91 9818857122(m))

Karol Bagh is OK Place to rent motorbike, but do not use Soni Motors, the owner is Pawan, we rented many times from him but in 2017 he cheated on us. He charged us 100 USD for hotel/night, but we stayed in 10-20 USD /per night hotels, It was terrible. It has affected the whole journey very badly. The journey was 15 days long, you can imagine the agrivation.

You can also rent bikes in Manali at BIG Bike Rentals. They do offer one way drop off options to Leh.
