Renting Motorcycles in India

Hey Yogesh does anyone rent out any imports here in India. Just like Thailand where they are dirt cheap (1000-1200/-)

HI,
I want to know if it is possible to rent a bike in jammu or srinagar or may be udhampur. I want to go to leh via srinagar route.

I had done manali leh bike tour before and rented the bike from dharma which last for 6 days without a single breakdown.

Haven't yet heard of any motorcycle renters in Jammu and Srinagar.

can you please provide me with some contact numbers if you can..i have already got 2-3 number from this thread, but they all are quoting around 30-40k for 150 cc bikes..

Just go there and check them out, talking on the phone would only ensure that you get high quotes.

There are a couple of places in Ladakh which do that, but haven't seen any in Delhi. In any case, if this was the case, it would mean a huge security deposit and rental fee.

Yogesh Ji! Thanks a ton for doing such a good job.

I am 27 years old, I have good driving experience of the omnipresent hero honda splender. But I have never even tried any heavier bikes. But on the other hand I so eagerly wish to do the Leh- Manali route on bike in the coming May. My friends are scaring me that it will be very difficult. And I know nobody will come along if I opt for bike. I too am having self doubts whether there may be very steep slopes and gorges, and breakdowns during the journey. I don't know almost anything about repairs. Though I can try to learn during these months. I will surely visit the place, I can use the option of Bus also, but the bus does not give the freedom, we can not stop it where ever we want. So I request you to kindly guide me in the matter. I will 15 spare days starting from Delhi. If there are some good group bike tours, who can consider my condition I can think of joining them. it will be extremely good if you can give the estimated expenditure on such group tours. waiting for an early reply.

there are many biking groups in delhi, who almost all plan to complete Leh circuit... to name some RoyalBeast, team456, DelhiBullRiders etc...
show them your interest and see wots their opinion take...
btw, will find many peoples going on that route once routes are thrown to public... many from here also (BCMt family)... so even if you start alone, you might find some group or friend on way

Hey i am also planning a bike trip to ladakh but via srinagar kargil this time..

I had done manali leh last year..the problem m facing is "theres no bike rental in srinagar or jammu"..there are few in dharamshala but i am not able to find their contact number??

I believe there are quite a few who are unhappy with Madan motors.

Can I rent a bike from Manali and drop the bike at leh.
